About Mrs. Jones

     Welcome to my website.  A little about me and why you should trust me with your most prize possessions; I am originally from San Diego, California and moved to Roswell 8 years ago.  We still spend our summers on the beach, swimming in the pacific.  I have two children, Trey who is 13 and an 8th grader here at Elkins, and Shanell who is 19.  She is in her second year at Pomona College in Claremont California.  I love teaching and kids, especially middle school kids!  It is my hope that this website will keep us connected while keeping you informed.

Professionally Speaking

          Well, first off, this is my 22nd year in the classroom.  I love the creativity that teaching gives me and the exchange of energy with the kids.  In San Diego I did a minimal amount of administrative work and realized that I belong in the classroom.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, TAG Certified, ESOL Certified, and a lifelong lover of books.  This is my fourth year at Elkins Pointe Middle School and am proud to be among some of the hardest working colleagues I have ever encountered.  I am proud to be a Titan.
